In 1992, after more than two decades with Yamaha Flutes, three senior staff members founded Flute Masters Company. Since the beginning, they have aimed to surpass the current state of flute manufacturing and impose their own signature on flute design.
The modern flute has a history of over one hundred years; as FMC adds to that history, they employ the latest technology in manufacturing, injecting an unrestricted imagination into the process in order to create an instrument as close to ideal as it can be.
FMC believes that a musical instrument is like a newborn baby, which has unlimited potential and untainted quality. A musician can give the instrument a personality from his or her heart—rich, sensitive and profound.
For this reason all FMC flutes are handmade. Many professionals worldwide—including conservatory professors, soloists, and orchestral players—have adopted FMC flutes and have lavished them with high praise.
