About the Korri
Workshop
Atelier [Korri]:
at·el·ier (plural at·el·iers); noun: artist’s studio: a studio or workshop
where an artist works [Late 17th century. Via French,
literally “carpenter’s workshop,” from, ultimately, late
Latin astella “board.”]; Atelier Korri:
the Korri workshop: a
collaborative of flutists committed to providing students,
amateurs, and professionals alike with a trustworthy source
of information, products and service.
Sales Director, Anne Sodeur, relaxes at home.
Anne
Sodeur has been
playing flute for more than 30 years. She formally studied
music performance at the State University of New York
(SUNY) Binghamton and Indiana State University. She serves
on the board of the Cincinnati Flute Association. An active
private teacher, she is always interested in adding
students of all levels to her studio.
As sales director, Anne guides flutists through the often
complex process of shopping for new instruments. Anne also
provides educational workshops on diverse topics such as
flute construction and tips on shopping for instruments.
Her seminars have been well received by band programs,
music stores and at regional flute festivals.

Jonathan
Hein is an experienced
craftsman, having repaired flutes for more than fifteen
years. A flutist and avid collector, Jonathan has a small
but growing assortment of vintage, Boehm-system flutes and
piccolos. He dedicates much of his spare time to their
restoration. He holds degrees from Miami University
(Oxford, Ohio) and the University of Cincinnati.
As technical director, Jonathan is able to address most any
repair crisis: from minor adjustments, to body work, to
complete restorations. Trust him to provide an accurate
estimate of both time and cost to complete a reliable
repair. Jonathan continually seeks to expand his knowledge
of instrument construction by attending seminars and
collaborating with other technicians and flute makers.
